According to news originatingfrom Barcelona, Spain, by NewsRx correspondents, research stated, “This study aims to develop a MachineLearning model to assess the risks faced by COVID-19 patients in a hospital setting, foc using specificallyon predicting the complications leading to Intensive Care Uni t (ICU) admission or mortality, which areminority classes compared to the major ity class of discharged patients. We operate within a multiclassframework compr ising three distinct classes, and address the challenge of dataset imbalance, a commonsource of model bias.”
