The following quote was obtained by the news editors from the background informa tion supplied bythe inventors: “A platform can enable users to connect with oth er users through a video-based or audiobasedvirtual meeting (e.g., a conferenc e call). The platform can provide tools that allow multiple clientdevices to co nnect over a network and share each other’s audio data (e.g., a voice of a user recordedvia a microphone of a client device) and/or video data (e.g., a video c aptured by a camera of a clientdevice, or video captured from a screen image of the client device) for efficient communication. In someinstances, multiple cli ent devices can capture video and/or audio data for a user, or a group of users(e.g., in the same meeting room), during a virtual meeting. For example, a camer a of a first client device(e.g., a personal computer) can capture first image d ata depicting a user (or group of users) at a firstangle or position during a v irtual meeting and a second client device (e.g., a mobile device) can capturese cond image data depicting the user(s) at a second angle or position during the v irtual meeting. Otherusers attending the virtual meeting may view the user(s) a t the first angle or position or second angle orposition. However, the other us ers may not be able to view the user(s) at any other angles or positions(e.g., other than the first and/or second angles or positions), as no client device(s) captured image data atthe other angles or positions. Accordingly, platforms may be limited in the viewpoints that can be providedto participants during a virt ual meeting.”
