Reporters obtained the following quote from the background information supplied by the inventors:“Self-propelled robotic tools such as robotic lawnmowers auton omously operate unattended within a workarea. It may happen that such a robotic tool gets stuck at an obstacle. If the wheels keep on spinning,the grass surfa ce may be damaged. For this and other reasons, most robotic lawnmowers are provi dedwith sensors for detecting collisions and/or wheel slip. There are various k nown methods for detecting thewheel slip of a robotic lawnmower. For example, U S 2014/330496 A1 suggests that wheel slippage canbe detected based on the drive current to a drive wheel falling below a certain value.
