By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Robotics & Machine Learning DailyNews Daily News – Researchers detail new data in artific ial intelligence. According to news reporting outof Tehran, Iran, by NewsRx edi tors, research stated, “One of the most common types of fluid storagetanks are rectangular concrete tanks placed on the ground.”Our news correspondents obtained a quote from the research from International In stitute of EarthquakeEngineering and Seismology: “Ensuring the seismic performa nce of these tanks is crucial as, besides damageand losses during a crisis, the y can lead to other crises such as fires or toxic material leaks. One pivotalfa ctor influencing the seismic behavior of these tanks is the height of the freebo ard. A comprehensiveunderstanding of how freeboard height impacts the impulsive and convective masses is essential for theeffective design and dynamic analysi s of rectangular tanks. While numerous numerical and experimentalstudies have e xplored this field, the influence of various filling levels, fluid properties, a nd tank geometriesunder seismic loading conditions requires further investigati on. In this study, both an experimental modeland a theoretical model were subje cted to different tank fill levels, tank geometries, and various freeboard heigh ts under the influence of different earthquake records. The results showed that tank height andgeometry significantly affect the changes in impulsive and conve ctive masses.”
