Improved Mid-field Phased Array Calibration Method Based on Complex Interpolated Signals

In this brief paper, an improved method ofseparate amplitude and phase interpolations is presentedfor the mid-field phased array calibration system. Sincethe amplitude is relatively continuous and the phase suffersfrom phase wrapping, the proposed method useslinear and phase-unwrapping natural neighbor interpolationmethods to reconstruct the amplitude and phasematrices, respectively. When compared with the existingwork, the proposed method is more accurate under thecost-effective over-the-air testing environment.
