Terje Aven is a familiar face in the global risk community.Professor of Risk Analysis and Risk Science at the Universityof Stavanger in Norway, he is also Editor-in-Chief of Journalof Risk and Reliability, and serves as Area Editor for policyfor Risk Analysis. He has served as President of the Societyfor Risk Analysis (SRA) (2018) and as Chair of the EuropeanSafety and Reliability Association (ESRA) (2014–2018).
