The following quote was obtained by the news editors from the background informa tion supplied bythe inventors: “Inventory management in a storage site such as a warehouse can be a complex and laborintensiveprocess. Inventory items are us ually placed at their designated locations with barcodes of theitems readily sc annable to quickly locate the items. However, in some cases, items can be mispla cedand become difficult to be found. Also, misplaced items may occupy space tha t is reserved for incominginventory, causing storage site personnel to spend ti me relocating items and tracking missing items.”
