Abstract

According to news originatingfrom Chengdu, People’s Repu blic of China, by NewsRx correspondents, research stated, “Nitrousacid (HONO) s erves as the primary source of OH radicals in the atmosphere, exerting significa nt impactson atmospheric secondary pollution. The heterogeneous reactions of NO on surfaces and photolysis ofparticulate nitrate or adsorbed nitric acid are i mportant sources of atmospheric HONO, yet the correspondingkinetic parameters b ased on laboratory investigations and field observations exhibit considerableva riations.”
