According to news reporting outof Worcester, Massachusetts, by NewsRx editors, research stated, “For a robot in an unknown environmentto find a target semantic object, it must perform simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) at bothgeometric and semantic levels using its onboard sensors while pla nning and executing its motion basedon the ever-updated SLAM results. In other words, the robot must simultaneously conduct localization,semantic mapping, mot ion planning, and execution online in the presence of sensing and motion uncertainty.”
