By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Robotics & Machine Learning DailyNews Daily News – A new study on Robotics - Robotics and Automation is now available. Accordingto news reporting originating from Bruss els, Belgium, by NewsRx correspondents, research stated, “Wepropose the Depth-V isual-Inertial (DVI) mapping system: a robust multi-sensor fusion framework fordense 3D mapping using time-of-flight cameras equipped with RGB and IMU sensors. Inspired by recentdevelopments in real-time LiDAR-based odometry and mapping, our system uses an error-state iterativeKalman filter for state estimation: it processes the inertial sensor’s data for state propagation, followed bya state update first using visual-inertial odometry, then depth-based odometry.”
