According to news originatingfrom Limerick, Ireland, by News Rx editors, the research stated, “Annotating datasets for fully supervisedinsta nce segmentation tasks can be arduous and time-consuming, requiring a significan t effort andcost investment. Producing bounding box annotations instead constit utes a significant reduction in thisinvestment, but bounding box annotated data alone are not suitable for instance segmentation.”
