According to news originatingfrom Barcelona, Spain, by NewsRx co rrespondents, research stated, “Nowadays, the skyrocketing last-milefreight tra nsportation in urban areas is leading to very negative effects (e.g., pollution, noise or trafficcongestion), which could be minimized by using autonomous elec tric vehicles. In this sense, this paperpresents the first prototype of Ona, an autonomous last-mile delivery robot that, in contrast to existingplatforms, ha s a medium-sized storage capacity with the capability of navigating in both stre et andpedestrian areas.”
