The mechanistic insights needed to desi gn next-generation microporouscatalysts can be obtained with ab initio simulati ons coupled with microkinetic modeling, yet active siteconfinement complicates an accurate determination of adsorbate entropies, which, in turn, affect predictions of rate and equilibrium constants.”
