Abstract
Reporters obtained the following quote from the background information supplied by the inventors:“Robotic part transfer systems or machine tending systems for use with processing machines such as CNCmachines are known. A variety of differ ent approaches for presenting workpieces to the robot and receivingprocessed wo rkpieces from the robot exist. For example, fixed table systems may present work pieces toa robot. The workpieces are arranged in a known configuration on the t able top for removal by the robotand placement into a workspace of a processing machine. The capacity of the table is limited by the sizeof the table, althoug h in some applications the workpieces may be stacked onto one another. The stacks, however, can only be so high before they become unstable.
