According to news reportingfrom Nanjing, People’s Republic of China , by NewsRx journalists, research stated, “The employment of large-diameter shie ld machines has increased the likelihood of encountering composite formations, posing engineering challenges associated with excessive surface settlement. To ta ckle this issue, this studyintroduces a hybrid model which integrates the extre me learning machine (ELM) with the sparrow searchalgorithm (SSA) to predict lon gitudinal surface settlement.”
