According to newsreporting originating in Xi’an, People’ s Republic of China, by NewsRx journalists, research stated, “The synthesis of s uperheavy elements represents the forefront of exploring the properties of unkno wn nuclearmatter. Theoretically, significant uncertainties in predicting the fi ssion barriers of superheavy nuclei makeaccurate calculations of the survival p robabilities of compound nuclei extremely challenging.”
