These robots are w idely used to transport various objects, goods or articles, eitheron top of the robot itself or by pulling, pushing and/or lifting a cart being loaded by goods . Mobile robotstypically have different wheel/drive configurations comprising p assive (non-driven) and active (motordriven)wheels. The total weight of the mo bile robot is often distributed to the wheels of the mobilerobot in order to pr ovide the desired operational characteristics, e.g. in terms of stability and dr ivingperformance.
