No assignee for this patent application has been made.Reporters obtained the following quote from the background information supplied by the inventors:“Electric vehicles have limited range and battery life and per iodically need additional electrical energy.When the electric-vehicle batteries are low or depleted, they are traditionally recharged by physically couplingan electrical charger to a charge port on the vehicle. Even with rapid charging, i t takes at least30 minutes to partially recharge the batteries. Another approac h is to exchange the depleted batterieswith charged batteries. Battery swapping can be performed in minutes, but additional infrastructure andtechnology are n eeded.”
