PREPARATION,STRUCTURE ELUCIDATION,AND CYTOTOXIC ACTIVITY OF AMIDE DERIVATIVES OF HYDROXYSYDONIC ACID

Hydroxysydonic acid(1),a naturally abundant bisabolane sesquiterpenoid metabolite,has been obtained from the endophytic fungus Aspergillus versicolor isolated from Elaeocarpus decipiens Hemsl.To increase its pharmacological potential,seven new amide derivatives la-lg were semisynthesized and elucidated.All of the compounds were evaluated for their cytotoxic and antifouling activities.Compound la was found to show cytotoxic activity against gastric carcinoma cell line(HGC-27)with an IC_(50)value of 9.72 μg/mL.
