This has has been a year of uncertainty for many involved in glass reprocessing, with more expected in 2014. The high Packaging Recovery Note (PRN) prices continued into 2013 and showed no signs of easing. Despite high PRN prices, the amount of glass collected did not significantly increase and there was an increase in the amount of material being exported. The significant PRN price increase through 2012-13 resulted in a comprehensive review of all glass data being carried out by WRAP and Valpak, which was released in October 2013.
