Abstract

? 2021 Elsevier LtdAn efficient 2,3-dichloro-5,6-dicyano-1,4-benzoquinone (DDQ)-mediated oxidative coupling reaction of N,N-dimethyl enaminones with cycloheptatriene is developed. It provides a variety of α-alkenylated 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds in moderate to good yields under mild conditions.
