? 2022 Phytochemical Society of EuropeTwo new alliacane sesquiterpenes, named purpuracolide B (1) and purpuracolide C (2), have been isolated from the fruiting bodies of edible mushroom Gomphus purpuraceus. Their structures were elucidated based on spectroscopic studies including electronic circular dichroism calculation. Furthermore, their antiproliferative effects were evaluated in breast cancer cells MCF7, MDA-MB-231 and 4T1.
