The magnetic-field-induced resistance switching of a granular composite containing Co2FeSi with Mn and Al2O3 was investigated for the first time. Field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) images showed a mean particle size of about 100-150 nm. Different compositions of materials showed different Magnetoresistance (MR). Positive and negative MR responses were observed in the samples while the possible mechanisms were also discussed. The electric resistance of the samples increased by the Al2O3 amount and tunneling became the dominant electron drift mechanism. The electron conductance percolation threshold of the composite was found to be around 20 to 30 wt% Al2O3 in which the MR reached a maximum value. This paper is part of a series of systematic investigations on these novel composites publishing for the first time.
