Abstract

The [(P+B-P+)CuCl3-](2) complex (P+B-P+ = phosphonium-borate-phosphonium) featuring the dication-monoanion-type counterion was synthesized. The resulting cationic copper catalyst enhanced the Mukaiyama-Aldol reaction of ketene silyl acetals and ketones for the formation of protected tertiary alcohols. (C) 2022 Elsevier Ltd.
