Abstract

Stratiolibinia gen. nov., is established for Libinia rostrata Bell, 1835, its type species, and Libinia bellicosa Oliveira, 1944. The thoracic sternum, male first gonopods, abdomen, and pereiopods are distinctive, and easily distinguish the genus fromLibinia Leach, 1815 sensu stricto.
