Abstract
The purpose of this note is to correct a nomenclatural problem associated with the names of two grasshopper species of the South American genus Dichromatos Cigliano, D. corupa and D. montanus. In a review of Eurotettix Bruner, based on the results ofa cladistic analysis, I divided the genus into two, and described the new genus Dichromatos to include E. corupa Carbonell & Mesa, E. montanus Carbonell & Mesa, E. schrottkyi Rehn, and E. lilloanus Liebermann (type species) (Cigliano 2007).
