Neurodegenerative diseases are of great concern for public health around the world; since the population is getting older and life expectancy is constantly increasing, more people are being affected by neurogenerative diseases. It is estimated that almost 50 million people are suffering from a type of neurodegenerative disease, which is also becoming a socio-economic problem and pressuring the public health system as well as increasing manyfold its cost of maintenance.
