CHEMICAL CONSTITUENTS AND ANTICANCER ACTIVITY OF THE PETROLEUM ETHER EXTRACT FROM THE FRUITING OF Oudemansiella raphanipes

Oudemansiella raphanipes, an edible and medical fungus, has been widely cultivated in China in the past few years and belongs to the Basidiomycota, Agaricomycetes, Agaricales, Physalacriaceae, Oudemansiella [1]. O. raphanipes was originally described in Darjeeling, Sikkim, India [2] and has been reported in Australia, China, India, Japan, and Thailand [3]. This fungus grows on decaying wood buried in soil and is often found in East and South Asia at an altitude of 300-2400 m during April to August. The pileus of O. raphanipes is white to dirty white, 1-12 cm in diameter, with thick lamellae from white to cream. The subcylindrical stipe is 2-30 cm long, surfacing dirty white to grayish, and densely covered with brownish felted squamules, with a dirty white pseudorhiza under it.
