The type of roll bearings most widely used in hot and cold rolling mills today are four row taper roller bearings, of open or completely closed design. These high-precision roll bearings are used because they can withstand high radial and axial forces, and do not require an additional axial nearing. This means that the roll, neck ace me chocks for the drive/operating side can be shorter. Ever-increasing demands are being made on today's hot-and cold-strip lines, in terms of the surface quality of the rolled material, ergonomic performance and conformity with safety regulations. In response to these demands, Fooke now offers a simple and safe solution, alto the development of a hydraulic clamping system for axial positioning of four-row taper roller bearings.
