The authors regret that they detected an error in the merged image of Dextran/GFAP in FASN shRNA group in figure 3B, which was inadvertently misplaced during figure assembly. In original experiments, Dextran (Texas Red) and IgG (labelled with Alexa Fluor 647) were observed on the same sample, and the GFAP channel was set as grey, the IgG channel red, then GFAP was merged with Dextran or IgG separately by using the image software FV10-ASW 4.2 viewer (Olympus). Having checked carefully, the authors confirmed that the merged image of Dextran/ GFAP in FASN shRNA group in figure 3B was inadvertently misplaced during figure assembly, and now it was replaced by the correct one. In figure 6B, the GFAP channel in the two merged images in C75+ saline group came from the same sample and treated by the same image processing as forementioned, which might cause unnecessary misunderstanding. The authors also would like to improve it. The error does not affect the results and conclusions of the paper. The corrected figure 3 and improved figure 6 were shown as below. The authors would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
