The creation of Nevada Gold Mines (NGM) in Nevada, to fuse the operations of leading gold producers Barrick Gold and Newmont, was seen as a long overdue panacea to unlock incredible value through hundreds of millions of dollars of synergies and a truly regional approach to exploration and development of one of the richest gold districts in the world. NGM holds three tier-one gold mines (Turquoise Ridge, Carlin and Cortez) within 10 underground and 12 open-pit mines, two autoclave facilities, two roasting facilities, four oxide mills, a flotation plant and five heap leach facilities. Its 2022 production guidance is 1.9 million-2.1 million ounces, with proven and probable reserves of 9.4Moz.
