COVID lockdowns in the financial hub of Shanghai and elsewhere along with weakness in the industrial sector of the world's second largest economy have depressed demand in recent months. China's two month-long lockdown of Shanghai appears to be slowly coming to an end with service on four of the city's 19 metro lines and around 200 bus routes restored on Sunday. But many local residents remain unable to leave their residential estates, while other key cities - notably the capital Beijing - continue to battle virus flare-ups.
