Abstract
The genus Callostethus was described for Mecistorhinus guttatopunctatus (Fabricius, 1803). Here we describe a second species of the genus, C. flavolineatus sp. nov., based on a male collected in Amapa, Brazil. Descriptions were made using external morphological characters. Callostethus is closely allied to Antiteuchus and can be separated from it by the mesosternum slightly tumid with a low median subcalloused carina, calloused yellow or reddish margin of the metapleuron, and the structure of the pygophore.
