Abstract

A new species, Stenomorpha roosevelti Smith, Miller, and Wheeler, n. sp., is described from the Cuatrocienegas Protected Area in Coahuila, Mexico. Three related species are transferred into Stenomorpha, producing the following new combinations: Stenomorpha furcata (Champion), Stenomorpha wickhami (Horn), and Stenomorpha granicollis (Blaisdell). A new informal group, the furcata species group, comprised of these four species is recognized within Stenomorpha. Diagnoses of the group and its species areprovided, along with distribution data and a key to the species.
