外文摘要：Over the last decade, Russian firms kept looking at the African continent in order to invest in the extraction and processing of commodities such as manganese, gold, nickel, platinum, dia mond and aluminium, in addition to oil and gas. Following Russia's attack of Ukraine on 24 February, Western countries sanctioned Russian oligarchs, compa nies and banks with links to President Vladimir Putin.
