The cost of storing nuclear waste could be reduced following a new investment that boosts AMRC Castings' ability to produce large-scale castings. The organisation is part of the University of Sheffield's Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) and it has installed a CMS Poseidon 5-axis CNC machine to produce large-scale, di-mensionally accurate replica patterns from polystyrene.
