SYNTHESIS AND ANTIMICROBIAL EVALUATION OF CALYCANTHACEOUS ALKALOID DERIVATIVE S

To find pesticidal lead compounds with high activity, a series of new chimonanthine derivatives was synthesized via the introduction of the functional group at the N-position to compound 4. The structures of the target compounds were confirmed by 'H, 13C NMR, and HR-MS. A preliminary bioassay showed that most of them displayed potent bioactivities. In particular, compound 5a displayed significant activity and might be a potential novel lead compound for further development of antifungal agent.
