Linear maps compressing the polynomial numerical hulls of matrices

For a fixed integer n >= 2, denote by M-n the algebra of all n x n complex matrices. Consider also an integer k between 1 and n -1. For k >= 2, we characterize linear maps on M-n compressing the polynomial numerical hull of order k of each matrix T is an element of M-n. We obtain the same type of characterization when k = 1 with an extra assumption on the preserving map. (c) 2021 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
