Two new isoindolin-1-ones,6-(3-hydroxypropyl)-2,4-dimethylisoindolin-1-one(1)and 4-(hydroxymethyl)-6-(3-hydroxypropyl)-2-methylisoindolin-1-one(2),were isolated from the leaves of Nicotiana tabacum.Their structures were determined by means of HR-ESI-MS and extensive ID and 2D NMR spectroscopic studies.Compounds 1 and 2 were tested for their anti-tobacco mosaic virus(anti-TMV)activities.The results showed that compounds 1 and 2 exhibited high anti-TMV activities with inhibition rates of 42,3 and 46.2% at the concentration of 20 μМ,respectively.
