The extreme environmental contingents are slowly backing away from claims that all mining is responsible for land erosion, formation of sinkholes, loss of biodiversity, and contamination of soil. Fortunately, today, smelting operations, mixed with environmental controls, are implemented to prevent potential environmental and exploitable issues associated to emissions.
