Vizcachitas growth could delay PFS

Drilling at Los Andes Copper's Vizcachi-tas copper project in central Chile is creating expansion possibilities that may prompt the company to deiay the pre-feasibility study (PFS), which is currently due in the second quarter, president and CEO Michael Jones told Mining Journal. A 30,000m programme, which is enlarging the deposit, is currently underway on the consolidated property. The deposit featured in the 2019 preliminary economic assessment (PEA), which outlined a US$1.8 billion project that would produce about 150,000 tonnes a year of copper in concentrate for 45 years from a resource of 13 billion pounds of copper equivalent.
