Abstract
Currently, the Palaearctic genus Emblethis Fieber, 1860 comprises 29 species (Pericart 2001). Up to date, the 5th instars were known only for five species representing this genus, i.e., E. ciliatus Horvath, E. verbasci (Fabricius), E. griseus (Wolff),E. denticollis Horvath, and E. minutus Kiritshenko— descriptions and keys for their identification were provided by Putshkov (1969), and Pericart (1999).
