The winged bean (Psophocarpus tetragonolobus (L.) D.C.) is an important climbing perennial legume which flourishes well in tropical regions and it is a multipurpose plant from nutritional point of view. It is a rich source of protein and all plant parts are useful for human consumption or as animal feed. Several workers have tried to improve winged bean by induced mutation which have been reported earlier. The present paper deals with the induction, isolation and analysis of early flowering and fruiting mutants.
