Issuing longer-term bonds seems to be a viable option to issuing equity to finance debt discount. Judging by responses within the feedback sections of Cliffs-associated articles, some traders are nervous that Cliffs will choose the dilution route as a way to deal with debt and finance the HBI (Hot Briquetted Iron) plant construction.
