Two major purposes of the workshop were to facilitate improved communication among those within ERS engaged in technology assessment,and contribute to improved selection,planning,coordination,and conduct of the technology assessment components of ERS work. Chapters in this study include:focus on technology assessment as it relates to American agriculture,flue-cured tobacco,twinning in beef cattle, boll weevil control,and use of scenario writing.
