This has been pointed out as one of the causes of poor personal financial management practice. This problem has hampered the efforts of various governments and institutions in this region geared towards financial inclusion and the overall economic wellbeing of the citizens. Most studies in this area focused on the financial literacy level of people rather than the effect on their behaviour. This study is an attempt examine the effect of financial literacy level on spending behaviour of 30 young adults from public sector organizations. The study employed the standard questions for assessing the knowledge level of respondents. The questions test their understanding of simple and compound interest, inflation and portfolio diversification. For the spending behaviour, the Planned Behaviour Theory (PBT) proposed by Icek Ajzen (1985) as a theoretical framework for measuring spending behaviour using the respondents preparation of budget and personal pre-retirement savings account as proxies. Data was collected using a structured questionnaire. Descriptive statistics and multiple regression was used to analyze the data. The result showed that there is a positive correlation between the level of financial literacy and the spending behaviour of the respondents. The less the knowledge of financial management the people have, the higher the risk of poor spending behaviour. The conclusion was drawn to say that more work is needed to equip the youth especially on the art of financial management.

The expert method was used in the paper. Pilot studies were conducted in November 2017, basic studies were conducted in May and June 2018, as well as in June 2019. The research tool was a questionnaire. The CAWI technique was used. The results were subject to statistical calculations. The empirical results show that four categories of factors determine the innovative potential of the tourism region, these are: knowledge, services market, policy, as well as the management system and civil society. The most important factors are the policy and management, as well as scientific institutions. The task Policy and Management include: availability of non-repayable funds in the tourism sector and the management system, as well as creating the image and brand of the tourist reception area. The basic activities of scientific institutions include the availability of scientific and technical knowledge and researching tourists' expectations. Originality/value of the research: The added value of the research results is the hierarchization of entities operating in the tourist region due to their importance in the innovation process of the tourist region. It was identified that science and technology parks should play a leading role in the process of the development of innovation in a tourist region. Their most important tasks were identified as: availability of scientific and technical knowledge, and researching tourists' expectations. Scientific activities should be supported by a highly developed information system, primarily in the area of tracking the innovation market and the availability of information on the latest innovations. Research has shown that non-repayable financial programmes play an important role in the innovation process of the tourist regions in Poland. From the scientific point of view, the research contributes to the further in-depth analysis of the innovativeness of a tourism region and the creation of the theoretical concept of the tourism region innovation model. From a practical point of view, the results of the research can help to develop programmes and strategies aimed at increasing the innovative potential of the tourism region.

The developed methods of digitalization security assessment have been tested at machine building enterprises of Ukraine. The security level has proved to be medium or low at most enterprises under study. The work substantiates that absence of the systematic personnel policy aimed at personnel's acquiring competences 4.0, deficit of financing technologies 4.0 implementation, a low level of IT capital make it impossible to ensure a high level of strategic economic security at Ukraine's machine building enterprises.

查看更多>>摘要:Servitization in manufacturing companies often involves reformulating or building new strategies. It is a complex and challenging process that is very prone to failure if carried out without careful strategic planning. The scientific literature strictly regarding strategic analysis methodology in the context of servitization is rather limited. Only a few studies were identified which indicate strategic analysis methods that are useful for building servitization strategies. Whereas the catalog of methods for strategic analysis is wide and varied. Therefore, this study aims to fill this gap and give an answer to the following research question: How to conduct a strategic analysis (with which methods and tools) so that the obtained information would improve the decision-making process in the context of servitization in manufacturing? A survey conducted in the Polish machinery manufacturing sector shows that there is a relationship between conducting strategy analysis in the context of product-service activity and the level of service income in manufacturing companies. Likewise, if the company analyzed service-related business areas along with the product-related, it has reported an increase in service income in recent years. Based on these findings and the outcomes of the review of servitization strategies and the conditions of successful implementation of these strategies, the author developed an 8-stage methodology of strategic analysis. It enables to gather the most relevant and needed information about the company resources and its environment to facilitate making decisions in the context of product and service integration. An original tool for assessing the orientation of organizational culture is proposed. The developed methodology was verified by application in two manufacturing companies, and that allowed to formulate a list of recommendations for future application of the methodology.

This study aimed to obtain experts' opinion and consensus on thirteen research theses relating to the labour market, economic growth and education system in Poland. The research addressed, among other things, the issues of work ethos, adjustment of professional qualifications to the rapidly changing needs of the labour market, employing foreigners, return from abroad of highly qualified specialists, the situation of disabled people on the labour market and flexible forms of employment. The study presented in the article was based on the Delphi method. The method is a kind of expert study in which intuitive expert opinions are treated as a legitimate contribution to the formulation of a vision of the future of the research subject. The results obtained in the research may be interesting for political decision-makers, public administration employees, employees of district and provincial labour offices as well as all those interested in the Delphi method and the future of the labour market.

查看更多>>摘要:The objective of this paper is to examine cultural differences as the reason for failures of trans-border investment projects in the Polish banking sector. By investment projects we mean all projects with the participation of foreign investors, which involved a merger, an acquisition, or the establishment of a new bank based in Poland and subject to Polish supervision and legal regulations. The analysis included all transactions of this type which took place in the Polish banking sector in the years 1994-2010. The sample comprised 31 projects: 16 mergers and acquisitions and 15 establishments of new banks. The results do not confirm most of the earlier findings on the subject, which showed a clear connection between cultural dimensions and risk taking. Unlike most other research, our study showed that cultural factors have no significant influence upon risk taking in banking by strategic investors in the Polish banking sector. Only the dimension of power distance proved to explain the reasons for failures. The results can be applied broadly, both as a tool for supporting the decision making in case of new investment projects, and for evaluation of the existing transactions taking place in the Polish banking sector.

To write this paper, we studied SMEs operating in the Gjirokastra region. First, qualitative data gathered through a questionnaire was used. Next, the 5-level Likert scale was used to measure it. Finally, the data was processed through statistical software SPSS version 21, using the binary logistic regression model, which reveals the probability of occurrence of an event when all independent variables are included. Logistic regression is an integral part of a category of statistical models, which are called General Linear Models. Logistic regression is used to analyze problems in which one or more independent variables interfere, which influences the dichotomous dependent variable. In such cases, the latter is seen as the random variable and is dependent on them. To evaluate whether Albanian SMEs can identify risks, we analyzed the factors that SMEs perceive as directly affecting the risks they face. At the end of the paper, we conclude that Albanian SMEs can identify risk.

Manifestation of the Factor of Regional Median Position

查看更多>>摘要:The article summarises theoretical approaches to determining the median regions, their place and role in the territorial structure of the country and its socio-economic development. The basis of the approach proposed is multiple descriptions of a set of attributes, connections, and relationships, a holistic view of the region as a relatively stable part of the socio-economic space. To conduct an empirical study in Russia, 32 regions were selected, attributed to the category of the median regions by their geographical position. According to the approach, the list of verifiable median characteristics of the regions includes transit, polystructurality, scale, resource availability, gravity, population concentration, the role in ensuring national security, budget donation, the "pilot" character, the concentration of intellectual potential, low risks, high investment and innovation potential, high contact with neighbouring territories, and clustering. The results of the study suggest that the cumulative effect of the regional median position has a significant differentiation. Therefore, the authors can distinguish such types of median regions as integrators of the economic space, sustainable median regions, and developing median regions. Based on the topological attributes of median regions, the mission of median regions is justified. It is substantiated that the factor of the medianness of the region can be of key importance in regional policy only if this resource is used correctly in program activities, regional development strategies and regional policy of the state.

In the paper one tried to assess the relationship between the level of informal economy and the fiscal income of the state, but also, based on the survey research, to indicate whether unethical attitudes of taxpayers meet with social consent and constitute an incentive to bypass the tax law. Methodology: Achieving the goal required the use of descriptive and statistical methods, in particular the linear regression method. The direct method - questionnaire was also applied. Results: In the paper the essence of the informal economy in the years 1994-2018, as well as the ethical determinants of tax evasion in the light of the author's own research from 2007-2020 were discussed. Based on statistical data, an attempt was made to assess the impact of the informal economy, understood as evasion of fiscal obligations, on tax revenues in Poland, based on the linear regression method. The scope of the phenomenon of tax pathology as the basic element of the shadow economy and its impact on the level of tax income seems to be confirmed by the relationship shown by the method of estimating the expected value - variable, which showed that the shadow economy, calculated according to F. Schneider's estimates, was a factor in 94% determining the level of tax revenues in the years 2000-2017.
