查看更多>>摘要:Functional Urban Areas (FUAs) are among the main actors of local development planning in the current perspective of the European Union. One of significant challenges in the management of such areas is the creation of an image or building of a city brand covering several neighboring municipalities. Among other things, tourist attractions can be used as important factors in defining metropolitan identity. The aim of the paper is to identify categories of tourist attractions that are used in the process of communicating FUAs' brands. The paper is focused on branding activities related to the tourism of selected FUAs in Poland. The research method involved a content analysis of documents entitled Strategies of Integrated Territorial Investments (ITI) developed for Polish FUAs. Research results show that branding activities of FUAs aimed at developing their tourism function are more material - than immaterial - oriented and concern only those issues that are dependent on local government authorities and not tourism companies. The paper contributes to the development of the city branding theory focusing on the issue of developing a tourist brand for FUAs. The key limitations of the paper are as follows: it is based on the analysis just one type of documents - ITI Strategies of Polish FUAs - and the specificity of content analysis as a research method.
查看更多>>摘要:The dynamic development of e-learning technologies caused by the global epidemiological situation during the last year has prompted the rapid adaptation of the education sector to new challenges. At the same time, many barriers and challenges have emerged, especially at the initial period of e-learning implementation. The identification of factors determining the adoption of e-learning should be the source of information needed to improve the methods and tools used by educational institutions. In the era of strong competition, higher education institutions need to improve their business models or build new ones e.g. based on remote learning. The article aims to identify the essential success factors and their interlinks that explain the initial stages of adoption of an e-learning system by university students in Poland. The author built three regression models which explain relationships between six input variables, i.e., the perceived usefulness (PU), the perceived ease of use (PEU), facilitating conditions (FC), computer self-efficacy (CSE), the preparedness level (PL), and previous experience (PE); and three output variables, i.e., satisfaction and personal development (SPD), attitude toward e-learning (AT), and intention to use (IU). The variable "satisfaction and personal development" (SPD) was newly added to the model. Data was collected with the help of a survey, which was conducted using the CAWI (computer-assisted web interview) technique. In total, 982 completed questionnaires were received. Results achieved using a regression analysis confirmed that the perceived usefulness played a crucial role in building the attitude of students toward e-learning and achieving satisfaction and personal development of the users. Only in the case of two analyzed variables, the obtained results confirmed statistically significant differentiation within the two gender groups. Results confirmed that men had declared a high level of computer self-efficacy. The variable "facilitating conditions" received higher marks from women. The research carried out and the results obtained may form the basis for building strategies for the development of universities and building business models in which e-learning plays an important role.

查看更多>>摘要:This paper tests the prior-savings theory which proposes that pension savings could moderate inflation, and spur long-tenured savings for fixed capital formation. An augmented Toda-Yamamoto long-run non-causality technique was used to analyze data from 1980 to 2018. The outcome reveals that pension saving has significant negative causal flow to gross fixed capital formation, while gross fixed capital formation does not drive inflation expectation. The outcome suggests that prior-savings theory does not hold in the Nigerian case, which may infer that government borrowing from pension fund has been for consumption expenditure. The results generalize many developing economies with similar financial structure. The paper recommends that borrowed pension savings be invested in infrastructures in line with prior-saving theory. Fiscal policy reforms that broaden and deepen the nexus are recommended.
查看更多>>摘要:This study aims to evaluate Podlaskie Voivodeship as an important element for the development of the Belt and Road Initiative, by identifying both the internal environment (in terms of strengths and weaknesses) as well as the external environment (in the context of opportunities and threats) of Podlaskie Voivodeship. The study was conducted using critical literature analysis, logical construction method, and SWOT analysis. The authors of the study identified and assessed the strengths and weaknesses of Podlaskie Voivodeship related to the development of the logistics infrastructure of the voivodeship in the light of the Belt and Road Initiative and the opportunities and threats associated with it. Factors of Podlaskie Voivodeship indicated in the article can influence the course of action to increase the competitive advantage of Podlaskie Voivodeship regarding the development of the Belt and Road Initiative in Europe. The study includes a comprehensive SWOT analysis of the Podlaskie Voivodeship in the context of the Belt and Road Initiative. Elements analyzed by the authors may have a significant impact on the development of the voivodeship's infrastructure network regarding the expansion of the BRI.
查看更多>>摘要:Emerging-marketing perspectives show that customer participation creates new opportunities for value creation. A perspective in the marketing section should be highlighted, a new opportunity must be emphasized, and customer participation should be used as a means to define the relationship benefits through their participation. The goal of customer participation is to create a high-value service process by creating cooperation with customers. This study describes and develops hypothesis verification. In the context of professional financial services in Taiwan, this study explores the effect of customer participation on value creation and satisfaction from customer and employee perspectives. It also analyzes the effects of different customer capabilities and employees' emotional intelligence. The source of data collection is a total of 383 customer questionnaires from domestic financial institutions of two types of bank (public and private) to verify (1) how customer participation affects customer satisfaction and employee job satisfaction through relationship value creation, (2) how customer ability affects the relationship between value creation and satisfaction, and (3) how employees' emotional intelligence affects the relationship between relationship value creation and job satisfaction. This study uses the structural equation model to verify the research hypothesis and obtams the following results through empirical research: 1. Customer participation affects customer satisfaction through relationship value creation. 2. Customer participation does not completely create positive employee relationship value, which may increase work pressure. 3. Interference results show that customer ability can promote customer satisfaction, whereas employee emotional intelligence does not necessarily affect the relationship between employee relationship value creation and job satisfaction. These results contribute to the banking industry. Customer participation can promote value creation by arranging customers and financial specialists to have an appropriate interactive relationship and professional services.
查看更多>>摘要:Many healthcare organizations are exposed to various cyber threats. The increase in the frequency of these cyber threats can also be observed during the Covid-19 pandemic. The security of information systems in hospitals and their management is also not part of the management of facilities in these organizations. The paper presents the possibilities of securing facility management processes in healthcare organizations from a security point of view. There is an analysis of security aspects of a particular medical facility and its information system with emphasis on the application of regular facility management. Analysis and evaluation of tools for ensuring the security of the hospital information network is also applied. The contribution of the paper is the identification and expression of the correlation between cyber threats and the following modules of the information system in the medical facility. Another part of the proven research compares safety mechanisms and their possible failure in a selected hospital. The main research results, which are based on the evaluation of safety aspects in these organizations, can be further used as a platform for the effectiveness of processes in healthcare and thus increase synergies between safety levels and ensure facility management processes.
查看更多>>摘要:Large Italian firms in financial distress are admitted to the business rescue procedure called "Extraordinary Administration" with a view to preserving the business as a going concern when two objective requirements are met: at least two hundred employees and debts not less than two-thirds both of total assets and revenues. This study examines whether these selection criteria are adequate to identify large firms in terms of value creation. The analysis is motivated by the idea that social utility in the rescue of large firms should not be justified only by the number of employees, but also by the worth of the goods and services created by the firms. The sample is made up of 1,581 Italian manufacturing firms and four subsamples were analyzed for the three year period 2015-2017 using a set of logistic regression models. Research findings show that highly leveraged firms eligible to go into "Extraordinary Administration" do not select large firms as measured by proxy variables that take into account value creation, such as total assets and/or revenues. On the other hand, hypothetical alternative selection criteria based on total assets and revenues identify large firms in terms of value creation but no statistical evidence was found to show how these firms are leveraged.

Along with the times, many business people are eyeing millennials because of their consumptive lifestyle. It is not surprising that millenials have now dominated consumer databases. The facts have not skipped the attention of the sharia banking sector in Indonesia. This study aims to construct the opportunity for Bank Syariah Indonesia to grasp millennials as a market share. This study uses field research with qualitative methods, carried out by descriptive analysis. The data sourced from interviews and questionnaires. Islamic banks' opportunities to attract millennials include familiarity with Islamic banking products and contracts, momentum of Hijrah, digitizing Islamic banking, and unique segmentation. These opportunities can be taken into consideration in expanding the Islamic banking market in Indonesia.
查看更多>>摘要:The article describes the scientific and methodological approach to assessing the effectiveness of the financial architecture of Ukraine's economy on the basis of recommended values of the system of indicators, determining their type, allowable intervals of values taking into account micro- and macrofinancial levels of the hierarchy. The comparative analysis of the corresponding indicators on the countries of the EU and Ukraine for 2009-2018 is presented. The future directions of dynamics of indicators of efficiency of functioning of financial architecture of economy of Ukraine are offered.
查看更多>>摘要:This study applies SERVQUAL analysis to measure the service quality offered by Indian banking sector in the Indian state of Rajasthan. This study was performed 5 years after the launch of national mission for financial inclusion by Indian government. Both the public and private sector banks were incorporated in the study. Respondents are mostly from the urban background spread over various cities in Rajasthan. The dimensions studied are tangibility, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy. The average SERVQUAL score was found to be -0.189 and the results reveal about 95.22% customers' expectations were met. The empathy factor satisfying customers' expectations (99.28%) shows the tremendous quality of personal handling in Indian banks service sector, while the lowest score on the reliability factor (89.63%) gives an idea of customer's concerns regarding reliability of services in Indian banking sector. Overall, the present study finds that Indian urban banks average performance vis-a-vis the five service quality dimensions is quite satisfactory.
