9页查看更多>>摘要:TiO2 nanoparticles (NPs) have been synthesized by employing the pure and special sol-gel approach with different precursors viz. micro-sized TiO2 powder, TiCl4 (Titanium tetrachloride) and TTIP (Titanium isoprop-oxide). The synthesized NPs were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Field emission-scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), UV-Vis spectrographic analysis and Photoluminescence spectrographic analysis. The XRD results show single anatase phase for all the precursor-based samples. The characterizations results lead to originate that the TiCl4 precursor based TiO2 NPs are the finest NPs with admirable results. No phase trans-formation was observed in micro-sized TiO2 precursor-based NPs even after annealed at various temperatures (300 ?degrees C, 600 ?degrees C, and 900 ?degrees C). The TiCl4 precursor-based NPs were used for water treatment with UV radiation exposure and treated water samples were analysed with UV-visible spectrographic technique. Further, micro-sized and TiCl4 precursor based TiO2 NPs were also used in fabricating dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC).

5页查看更多>>摘要:Magnetic properties of LiGaCr4O8 and LiInCr4O8 compounds in spinel structure are investigated by Monte Carlo study (MCS). The magnetocaloric effect and its correlation with structure and magnetism in the two systems have been studied using the MCS for two systems. The magnetization, magnetic susceptibly, magnetic entropy, relative cooling power (RCP) and magnetic hysteresis cycle are found. The two systems show a magnetocaloric effect (MCE) at the magnetic ordering temperature and short and long orders a high and low temperature, respectively. The values of relative cooling power and maximum of magnetic entropy change increase with increasing the values of extremal magnetic field.

13页查看更多>>摘要:A highly efficient immobilised W-TiO2/rGO composite photocatalyst was prepared as a coating on titanium using plasma electrolytic oxidation (PEO) with particle addition. The high dopant concentration in TiO2 resulted in smaller crystallite size, increased lattice strain, and dislocation density. The optimum W containing G6W sample has improved electron mobility, higher charge carrier separation efficiency, and lower electron-hole recombination rate. This can be ascribed to the number of different defect centres emerging from tungsten interstitials and higher oxygen vacancies in the TiO2 structure. The catalyst exhibited enhanced photocatalytic degradation efficiency (93%) of methylene blue dye than the pure TiO2, which was attributed to the synergetic effect of 2-D structured rGO and the changes incorporated upon tungsten interstitials in the TiO2. The present research concludes that W-TiO2/rGO photocatalyst by PEO process can be a good candidate for efficient, low cost, reusable, and visible-light-driven immobilised photocatalyst for textile wastewater treatment.

5页查看更多>>摘要:The full potential linearized augmented plane wave (FP-LAPW) method based on the density functional theory (DFT) is employed to probe the optical and electronic features of Ba1-xCexTiO3 (x = 0%, 5.55%, 12.5%, 25% and 50%) perovskite oxides. The effect of Ce doping on the band structure (BS) and optical spectra of cubic BaTiO3 compound has been explored. The outcomes of this work unveil the indirect-band semiconducting nature of Ba1-xCexTiO3(x = 0%), which becomes direct after Ce doping. Moreover, the width of band gap (E-g) narrows with the upsurge of Ce concentration in BaTiO3. The optical behavior of Ba1-xCexTiO3 compounds is estimated through refractive index, reflectivity, dielectric constant, optical conductivity and absorption coefficient. The controlled reduction in E-g of BaTiO3 with rise in concentration of Ce is a useful tool to make this compound promising for optical and optoelectronic devices.

14页查看更多>>摘要:Gd2-xO3:Bi-x = 0.003 thin films were successfully deposited on Si (100) substrates in vacuum and an oxygen atmosphere at different substrate temperatures using the pulsed laser deposition technique. The microstructure, surface topography, chemical composition analysis and luminescent properties of the samples were studied. The influence of prolonged electron beam exposure on the surface state, chemical and cathodoluminescence (CL) stability of the samples was investigated. The background atmosphere and substrate temperature were found to significantly affect the microstructure and photoluminescence (PL). According to scanning electron microscopy cross-sections, the thicknesses for the thin films were relatively constant around 100 nm. The CL emission intensity degradations in a vacuum and an oxygen atmosphere were checked synchronously with the Auger peak to-peak heights using the same electron beam for both measurements. The effect of the electron bombardment on the surface state of the samples was studied by using Auger electron spectroscopy (AES) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). All major elements (gadolinium and oxygen) were located, with additional carbon and chlorine that were removed during the early stages of electron bombardment. Generally, the CL intensity of the thin films with a blue-green emission was stable under electron bombardment, indicating that this phosphor may be appropriate for field emission displays applications.

8页查看更多>>摘要:The simultaneous effects of hydrostatic pressure, temperature and Al-concentration on the second-harmonic generation (SHG) coefficient for GaAs/Ga1-xAlxAs tuned quantum dot/quantum ring (QD/QR) under parabolic inverse squared potential plus the modified Gaussian potential in a perpendicular magnetic field are studied in detail. The analytical expression of the SHG coefficient can be obtained using the density matrix theory and iterative method. The numerical results of GaAs/Ga(1-x)Al(x)A tuned QD/QR are given. The result of calculation illuminates that the applied magnetic field, Al-concentration, hydrostatic pressure, temperature and the harmonic confinement frequency can make an impact on energy level interval, the product of matrix elements, transition frequency and other factors so that the peak value of SHG coefficient and resonance peak changing under the action of these factors. Furthermore, the depth and the radius of the QD have a bearing on the SHG coefficient.

14页查看更多>>摘要:For the first time, a numerical isogeometric numerical solution based on the nonlocal strain gradient elasticity theory for static bending, free vibration, and buckling of sigmoid functionally graded (S-FG) nanoplate is presented. Two configurations of S-FG sandwich material, including isotropic core and FG core, are considered. A parameter is proposed to define the location of the neutral axis through the cross-section. The simple ReissnerMindlin plate theory, the nonlocal strain gradient theory, and Hamilton's principle are employed to establish the general equilibrium of S-FG nanoplate that contains two small size coefficients, including nonlocal and strain gradient parameters. The static bending, free vibration, and buckling responses of S-FG nanoplate are explored using isogeometric analysis with a NURBS basic function. The accuracy of the presented model is verified through the comparison with other solutions for nanoplate. As a result of numerical investigation studies, the static bending, free vibration, and buckling responses of S-FG are significantly affected by the material variation along the thickness direction, the neutral axis location, nonlocal parameter, strain gradient parameter, and material index.
