Two genera, Picrostigeus and Paraphylax, are reported for the first time from the Neotropical Region. Material was collected over a one year period by Malaise traps in three habitats; dry forest, savannah and coastal dune scrubland in the Ria Lagartos Biosphere Reserve, Yucatan, Southeast Mexico. A total of 1,302 individuals of Ichneumonidae are included in this paper. 45 species (81%) of the new records have a Neotropical distribution; seven species (12%) have been reported previously only from the Nearctic; and one species (2%) are recorded from both the Nearctic and Neotropical regions. Most species have a higherabundance in the rainy season, and the dry forest habitat provided more new records than the other habitats.

This figure is continuously increasing, of course, due to the description of new taxa. During our field trips in Mexico, we had the chance to collect three new species of Ensifera, all belonging to the subfamily Phaneropterinae of the Tettigoniidae: two belong to the Insarini Rehn & Hebard, 1914 and one to the Odonturini Brunner von Wattenwyl, 1878. The two new species of Insarini are represented by very few specimens (although wecollected in their localities several times).

A new species of Hedya Hubner from Iran with proposed rearrangement of some species currently assigned to Metendothenia Diakonoff (Lepidoptera: Tortricidae)

查看更多>>摘要:Hedya tritofa, new species, is described and illustrated based on eleven males and five females collected in northern Iran (Gilan, Mazandaran, and Golestan provinces). Morphology and diagnostic characters of Hedya Hubner, 1825, Metendothenia Diakonoff, 1973, the Olethreutes group of genera, and the Neopotamia group of genera are discussed. We propose the resurrection of the combinations Hedya atropunctana (Zetterstedt, 1840), revised status, and H. separatana (Kearfott, 1907), revised status, and thenew combination H. inouei (Kawabe, 1987).

A new species of Potamobates Champion from Colombia with a re-analysis of phylogenetic relationships (Hemiptera: Gerridae)

查看更多>>摘要:Potamobates tumaquensis n. sp. from Colombia is described and its phylogenetic relationships and biogeographical characteristics discussed. An updated identification key to Potamobates species is also provided. The Neotropical water strider genus Potamobates Champion (Gerridae: Cylidrostethinae) includes 17 described species with distributions ranging from Mexico to Peru. Species of Potamobates inhabit the surface film of rivers and streams with low velocity, clear waters, absence of floating vegetation, variable depth, and sandy or rocky substrate, in areas of primary rainforest (personal observations). They are gregarious in open waters or along stream margins, and most species do not occur syntopically with other congeners.

The Oriental bamboo-feeding genus Bambusiphaga Huang & Ding, 1979 (Hemiptera: Delphacidae: Tropidocephalini): a checklist, a key to the species and descriptions of two new species

Two new species, B. kunmingensis sp. nov. and B. yangi sp. nov., are described and illustrated from Yunnan Province, southwestern China.

Description of Hydraena (s.str.) tekmanensis (Coleoptera: Hydraenidae) from northeastern Turkey

查看更多>>摘要:Hydraena (s.str.) tekmanensis sp. n. is described from northeastern Turkey (Erzincan and Erzurum Provinces). It is tentatively assigned to the H. rufipes group {H. eichleri complex). More than 200 species of Hydraenidae have been recorded from Turkeyso far. More than 50 % of these, i.e. about 110 species, belong to the cosmopolitan genus Hydraena Kugelann, 1794. Seventy-seven species of Hydraena are known to be endemic in Turkey. The percentage of endemic species is going to increase in the future, because additional new endemic taxa are continuously being discovered (see e.g. Jach & Kasapoglu 2006).

A key is given to distinguish all species of the genus. The type specimens of the new species are deposited in the Institute of Entomology, Guizhou University, Guiyang, China (GUGC). The leafhopper genus Subhimalus was established by Ghauri (1971) with two species: S. melanus and S. fuscus from India and with S. melanus as its type species. It belongs to the tribe Paralimnini of subfamily Deltocephalinae (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae). Later, Ramakrishnan (1983) described a third species: S. fuscomelanus from India. Recently, Webb & Heller (1990) made a new combination, Subhimalus nigrifacialis (Distant, 1918). Until now, there have been no further reports on this genus. Here the genus is reported for the first time from Yunnan Province, China and a new Chinese species Subhimalus attenuatus sp. nov. is described and illustrated. The type specimens ofthe new species are deposited in the Institute of Entomology, Guizhou University, Guiyang, China (GUGC). This genus now contains five species. A key is given to separate all species.
