Three species are new country records: Parachernes melanopygus, P. plumosus and P. peruanus. The provincial distributions and habitat preferences of the species are given and discussed. Synonymies, old combinations and misidentifications (only those concerning Argentina), original localities, number of specimens, instars and repositories are given (when known), along with new provincial records, localities and habitats, and a key to the families, genera and species known from Argentina.
查看更多>>摘要:A new genus of the family Leucosiidae, Kabutos n. gen., is described for Merocryptus durandi Serene, 1955, from the western Pacific. Kabutos n. gen. is differentiated from other leucosiid genera by the combination of morphological features in the orbit, third maxilliped, chela and abdomen. Kabutos durandi is redescribed and the affinities with allied genera are discussed.

Cophecheilus, new genus, is separated from all other Asian garrains by its uniquely modified oromandib-ular morphology; i.e., rostral cap with a shallow, arched, subdistal depression extending almost the full length of its ventral margins apper lip greatly reduced to a thin membranous fold medially adnate to the upper jaw, but reflected slightly from its distalmargin, and laterally produced into a frenum connecting the upper jaw with the lower lip. The new species, Cophecheilus bamen, has an inconspicuous longitudinal black stripe extending along each side of the body.

The new species are distinguished from congeners in morphometric and meristic external characters, and in having very distinctive colour patterns. Scale-row reduction data are presented for the two new species; this is a new development for uropeltid systematics, and its potential utility is highlighted. The nature of the overlap between the two anal scales is also highlighted as a potentially useful character. The two new species were included in previous phylogenetic analyses of allozyme and albumin immunological data, but their phylogenetic relationships are not yet well resolved.
